AZERBAIJAN UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION (AzUAC)


Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) was established in 1920 as the “Faculty of Civil Engineering” within Baku State University. Between 1930 and 1934, it operated as an independent Construction Institute, and in 1934 it continued its activities as the “Faculty of Civil Engineering” within the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute. Following the establishment of the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute, the Faculty of Civil Engineering was transferred to this institution.

By the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it was established in 1975 under the name Azerbaijan Civil Engineering Institute. In 2000, it was renamed Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. Today, the university covers a total area of 49,000 m², consists of 8 faculties located in 5 academic buildings, and has 7,036 students. AzUAC also offers international education programs. The languages of instruction are Azerbaijani, Russian, and English.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The duration of the joint undergraduate Civil Engineering program is 4 academic years, with a maximum duration of 7 academic years.

Students complete their 1st and 2nd years at AzUAC, and their 3rd and 4th years at ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

The language of instruction of the program is English. Students are required to achieve at least 72 (iBT) in TOEFL or a minimum score of 60 in the language exams conducted by ITU and AzUAC.

TOEFL iBT results obtained in Türkiye are only valid if taken at TOEFL test centers of public (state) universities.

TUITION FEES

The annual tuition fee for ITU is 57,160 TL for the English Preparatory Program in the 2025–2026 academic year, and 75,656 TL per year for undergraduate studies.

Tuition fees for the study years at AzUAC will be announced on the university’s official website. Students are responsible for their own personal expenses in addition to tuition fees.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Tuition fees for dual degree programs at ITU must be paid via VakıfBank branches or ATMs using the student number. Please do not make any payments to any IBAN account.

To be eligible for this program, candidates must have a placement score from YKS exam of at least 305.
