Dual Degree program

Starting from 2014, an international joint dual degree undergraduate program is offered together by the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of ITU and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
By starting this program, it is aimed to educate competent and internationally recognized engineers, equipped with advanced scientific and technological knowledge, who can keep up with rapidly evolving Electronics and Communication Technologies.
Program Guidelines:
The 4-year undergraduate program that will be constituted in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering is a dual diploma program. Students which successfully complete this undergraduate program will receive both a B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from ITU and a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from NJIT.
The location schedule for this dual degree program will be as follows:
4 Year Undergraduate Education
- Freshman/1st Academic Year- ITU (Turkey)
- Sophomore/2nd Academic Year- NJIT (USA)
- Junior/3rd Academic Year- ITU (Turkey)
- Senior/4th Academic Year- NJIT (USA)
The language of instruction for the program is English. Students which do not fulfill the English language proficiency requirements (TOEFL minimum IBT=79, PBT=550+TWE=4) do attend English language preparatory education at the ITU Undergraduate English Preparatory Education School.
Program tuition at ITU is 5000 USD for a year, and at NJIT it will be comparable to New Jersey in-state tuition amounts. See details: http://www5.njit.edu/bursar/tuition/ . These amounts do not include living and other additional expenses.
This program started to admit students with undergraduate placement examinations in 2014.
